Vertebrobasilar Ischemic Vertigo

Vertebrobasilar ischemic vertigo will result in a patient feeling a sensation of spinning, floating, and swinging and flaccid legs.  A feeling of nausea, vomiting and/or blackout, visual field defect and/or double vision, ataxia, balance disturbance and numbness.   Acupuncture to certain points on the head and body resolve these symptoms.  According to western medicine arteriosclerosis and cervical spondylosis are the main causes whilst TCM views the causes to be emotions and dietary factors and overstrain.    This prescription of Acupuncture points resolves pathogens such as phlegm/damp and wind  in the body due to lack of nourishment to the brain whereby there was already an underlying deficiency of  qi and blood in this patient.
