Cinnamon tea

Cinnamon – Cinnamoni Cortex – Rou Gui

This herb is used in Chinese Medicine to warm the body, disperse cold, and promote the movement of blood.   A simple way of adding this herb to your diet is to break off 1″ from a cinnamon stick and place into cup of boing water to decoct for 5 minutes and drink as a tea.  Other benefits of cinnamon are it warms organs the kidneys, liver,  spleen and heart.  It warms the digestive system, alleviates menstrual pain and warms the extremities, cold hands & feet (arthritis).  Recommended daily dosage 1.5 to 5g of cinnamon stick/bark per day.

Contraindications are do not consume with a high fever or during pregnancy.
